When I met Ms. Smith (not her real name), she was pretty scared and embarrassed about her home. She was adamant that I wasn't going to see any more of it then the living room. We talked for about 30 minutes and then she asked me if I would like to see the rest of her home. We got together many times during the next 6-7 months to recreate a healthy environment for her and her puppies. That was almost 3 years ago. I love to talk about Ms. Smith because she is a tremendous success story. I go over every once in a while to help her tidy up after she's taken a road trip or to decorate for a holiday, but for the most part she maintains her home very well. She painted most of the art in her home. She rediscovered herself and that she is a worthwhile person. I could not be prouder of her.
